Welcome to the official website of Crelier Music Publishing and of Louis Crelier, composer, specialized in film score and stage music composition. Born in Neuchâtel (Switzerland), Louis Crelier started his professionnal career in 1978 as resident composer at the Théâtre Populaire Romand (TPR). Since then, he has composed over 30 scores for stage. Since 1981, he has specialized in film score composition. He has worked extensively in Western Europe, having composed over 80 film scores including feature-films, tv-movies and documentaries. In 2001, he composes the music for the film Azzurro by Denis Rabaglia, which is awarded as "Best Film of the Year" at the Swiss Cinema Awards, and his music is nominated to the World Soundtrack Awards in the category "Best Song Written Directly for a Film" together with composers such as John Williams or Hans Zimmer. Since 2004, he is a member of the European Film Academy http://www.europeanafilmacademy.org and Founder and former Vice-Chairman of FFACE (Federation of Film and Audio-visuals Composers of Europe) http://www.fface.org Louis Crelier is currently concluding the composition of his first opera The Glass Fortress (La Citadelle de Verre) on a libretto by Pierre Christin, visually inspired from the work of Enki Bilal.
